I cannot access menu screen on Panasonic PT-LB51E projector. Projection works. When i press menu botton on projector, menu appears, but when i release button, it dissapear. Remote control does not work at all.

KEYS location: (keys are located back side of the projector there is 2 keys 1 for menu and second is a joystick witch have 4 arrow keys and center press is a enter key)
Press MENU button to display the menu screen.
then use joystick UP and DOWN to select the OPTION menu. Press joystick for ENTER to display the option screen. Then press joystick UP and DOWN to select INSTALLATION.
Then press joystick RIGHT and LEFT to select your required image rotation there is four type of rotations.
1. FRONT DESK
2.FRONT CEILING
3.REAR DESK (A translucent screen is required for rear projection)
4.REAR CEILING (A translucent screen is required for rear projection)
If opposite means negative to positive so there is no any setting in your projector witch is chang your picture or imagepositive to negative.
Yes you can cut off you projection there is three ways to cut off.
1. there is a button on the projector name "SHUTTER" press the shutter to topping the projection temporary.
2. One same button on remote control "SHUTTER"
3. and the same function you can use with in menu of projector
press MENU button use LEFT and RIGHT arrow buttons to select "OPTION" press one time DOWN arrow button to select the SHUTTER press ENTER.
(for re-projection just press again SHUTTER button from remote control or projector key pad or through menu)
press the MENU button to display the menu screen, and then press the UP and DOWN aero button to select the "OPTION" menu. press the ENTER button and then press the UP and DOWN aero button to select "LAMP RUNTIME". Press and hold the ENTER button for approximately 3 seconds.
The "LAMP RUNTIME" screen will be displayed.
(NOTE: press any button other then the POWER button to cancel the "LAMP RUNTIME" screen)
Press the POWER button to turn off the power.
The POWER button on the projector illuminates red.
This will reset the cumulative usage time for the lamp unit to "0"
1. Press the MENU button to display the menu.
2. Select the OPTION menu and press the ENTER button.
3. Select LAMP RUNTIME.
4. Press and hold the ENTER button for approximately 3 seconds.
5. The confirmation screen will be displayed and select OK.
6. Press the POWER button to turn off projector for resetting the duration of the LAMP RUNTIME.
7. Confirm the duration of time in LAMP RUNTIME is reset to “0 H”.

This will reset the cumulative usage time for the lamp
unit to zero.

Press the MENU button. Use the < > arrows to get to the OPTION menu. Press the ENTER button. Select LAMP RUN TIME. Press and hold the ENTER button for about 3 seconds. The 'lamp time reset' will display. Press OK and press the ENTER button. This will reset the lamp hours as well as turn off the projector.
If memory serves me correctly, there is an OSD button on the projector itself. Press that once. You may have turned off the OnScreen Display feature. If that fails to resolve the problem, please let me know and I'll look up your specific model.

Try pressing the "Aspect/Prog -" button on the remote - it should be just underneath the number 9 key - try pressing once, see if it fits better, try pressing again to see if it improves until you get a better match
