I don't have sound on my laptop

check all cables first of all. I would advise to shut down the computer, check the wires, see where they are connected and if any of them aren't.
after that, turn on the computer and see what happens. If you still don't have any sound, check drivers and install them. I would highly recommend installing mother board chip and stuff, to make sure the whole computer is installed completely.
