i boght an hp.pavilion from costco in sept.2009 the sales jargon said i would entitled to an uprade in november how do i achieve this

I can only guess that what is meant is a system upgrade. And yes, as far as I know, HP Pavilions bought after the 26th of june (or smthing like that...) with Vista are mostly entitled to a free or reduced cost upgrade to Windows 7.
