Files on a flash drive can be corrupted if it is not removed from the USB port properly.
Before removing the flash drive click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon and then click on the flash drive you want to remove and then remove the flash drive when the computer message says it is Safe to remove.
To restore the flash drive you may need to format the flash drive, but you will lose the data stored on the flash drive.

Hi C hristine,can you please add much more detail as it is not clear what you mean when you refer to an access code??? What are you trying to do when the code pops up. If you are trying to access the wweb in windows safe mode it may be that the access number/[assword was stored in the machine's memory and has been thrown up as you attempted to log on. There is an option to disguise the password on windows internet log on.... this is done by ticking the box that causes the characters to appear as stars/asterisks.
If this is not the problem please add much more detail and repost the query

do you mean that you get to windows log in and need password to access desktop please. If you have lost password you can obtain software on sites such as ebay that can recover passwords.

Under assumptions your are trying to logon to a networked machine which requires that PC to contact a server to download your account.

now if this PC has been disconnected from the network but still has your temporary user profile stored on it, you can still log on but only as a temp user.

to solve this make sure your connected to the network either through wireless or wired.

It is common for the Qbwin.log to become very large. You can identify only current errors in the data file by renaming the Qbwin.log file, located in your QuickBooks directory, to Qbwin.old. QuickBooks will create a new Qbwin.log file to store the results of the utility you ran most recently. To run the Verify utility

Cannot access my account

I assume you cannot log into your user account in Windows.
This is how to create a new user account to log in and to move your user files from the old account to the new one.
Start the computer and keep pressing F8 until startup menu appears. Use arrow keys to select "safe mode".
When windows appears, log on as Administrator.
Use Control Panel, Users and create a new user. Select Computer administrator type. Restart the computer and log on to the new user account. Then you will have to move all your data files:
Open Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Documents and settings\[your old user account]
Select folders Desktop, Favorites and My Documents (this may appear as [User]'s documents) and copy or cut them. Go to c:\Documents and settings\[your new user account] and paste them here.
You will lose only the desktop picture and some windows settings.
After that you may delete the old user account from Control panel/Users

Have you tried deleting stored cookies and temp internet files

If you are using Internet Explorer

Open Internet Explorer and click on the "Tools" menu.

In the "Tools" menu, click on "Internet Options".

The Internet Options pop-up window appears.

Under the General Tab select the "Delete Cookies" button.

Delete cookies by clicking "OK".
Select the "Delete Files" button to clear the Internet cache. Make sure to check the box to "Delete all offline content".

Delete temporary Internet file history data by selecting "Clear History".

Restart your computer and try to log in again, this should fix your problem
