Hi Can you please write me How to defrost West Point tropical refrigerator model WRR-127-GX ?

the defrost timer, The defrost timer is usually found behind the front grill "toe kick" of the refrigerator. Or in the fridge compartment near middle top section.
u can get by and test manually by placing a small screw driver into the tiny slot or hole underneath the timer and turn slowly clockwise till u hear 1 click. this will engage ur defrost cycle in about 15 minutes u should be able to come back and feel the heat in freezer as it melts the ice providing ur terminator is not bad?
Another way to test it is with a multi meter. Remove timer it from fridge and you will see 4 prongs numbered 2,1,4,3 in that order. Place ur meter prong on prong 1 & 3 (if your fridge has a capacitor wired in series with the windings, then u check for micro fares rather than OHMS) If u cannot confirm this test, still try the next.
Take ur meter prong and connect to prong 1 & 4, it should read resistance or ohms ( closed) now remove prongs and place on prong 1 & 2, this should now read infinity or open (no ohms) now take a small screwdriver place it in the tiny hole or slot under the timer. Turn it clockwise slowly till u hear 1 click. Now ur 1& 2 should read closed ( showing ohms or resistance) now place meter prongs on 1 & 4 and you it should now show open ( or no resistance - no ohms) this is how u know ur timer is good, Remember when testing for ohms ADJUST meter to use a high ohms rating in the thousands as the resistance is very high in OHMS. And adjusting to low ohms rating may give a false reading or not show the proper resistance..

I have an Amana 3 door fridge with bottom freezer. The whole thing stopped working and I called a repair man who installed a new relay and thought it would be fine. It wasn't. He told me that it was either...

well not sure bout the compressor but u can check it to confirm if it s out, u will need a multi meter, first shut off power, then pull off the cap over the relay and capacitor. on compressor ( they should just snap out) then remove the wire prong connectors. Take note where each wire goes usually a black a red and a white? what u need to do is place the 2 prongs of ur multi meter 1 on the start winding normally red wire, and the other on the middle prong ( the neutral) what you want to do is measure the ohms rating write it down, for example lets say its 6 ohms, then remove the multimeter prong from the start winding and place it on the run winding where the white wire was connected? take note of the rating in OHMS again. for example say its 10 ohms, now u want to remove the multimer prong from the middle or neutral then place it on the strt winding so both the meter prongs are on the start and thr run windings. Then measure the OHMS rating it should be the same as the combined ratings of ur first 2 test? the 6 ohms and the 10 ohms equaling 16 ohms give or take 5 percent. if the rating is lower or much over say like in this case 20 ohms or 10 omhs then u have a bad compressor. the next step is either buy new compressor or my old trick used by many buy a 3 in 1 or 5 in 1 - hardstart kit. not that expensive not hard to replace. it comes with instructions and cost Around 30 bucks

Please, don't mess around with power cables. If you connect it the wrong way around the outside metal parts will carry dangerous voltages and can kill you.

in Europe the brown and blue are supposed to carry the voltage and a green/yellow wire is supposed the shield / earth.

our engineers don't have a diploma because they are better skilled with a screwdriver, but because they handle equipment that can be lethal when not handled correct.

Send us a wiring diagram of your unit. There should be one on the unit or in a envelop underneath. You can take a picture of it if it is attached to the cabinet.

Free Refer Hotpoint csx27dma. Owner had two new parts for the compressor. a start switch and an overload switch. The compressor has 3 round connection prongs for these parts to fit on to. Installed...

From cabinet you have three wires. 2 Orange, and 1, Black
1 Orange goes to on side of run capacitor the other Orange goes to the (2) R on the relay. The Black goes to the overload (round black disk). 1 White wire connector on end goes to run capacitor the other end connects to the (1) S on the relay.
The run capacitor is a small black cube like device with two prongs.

No youll have to recover the refrigerant, some systems can lock the r22 in the condenser but a vacume will need to be pulled at the end of repair regardless.
