Question about Kodak EasyShare DX6340 Zoom Digital Camera

1 Answer

I have a similar problem as some other people in that my DX6340 will not power up with fresh batteries. I can however place it on the EasyShare printer dock and it will power up and allow me to print the pictures on it.

Won't power up with new batteries

i have the same problem as not powering up. i was wondering could the fuse in the battery circuit (answered as the probable cause) be replaced by me if it was a part that could be ordered? i replaced the battery door on the same camera and i'm feeling a bit cocky.

It's the fuse in the battery circuit - happens frequently but Kodak won't acknowledge a problem with the model. Repair costs aren't worth it vs replacement - and Kodak won't repair if not under warranty

I have an Easy Share printer dock series 3 that has paper loaded

To prevent misfeeds and to make sure your pictures look their best, we recommend that you keep the feed roller clean. IMPORTANT: Unplug the power before cleaning the feed rollers.
  1. Unplug the AC power cord from the power outlet.
  2. Remove the paper tray from the printer, and leave the paper tray door open. IMPORTANT: Do not use cotton or cotton swabs to clean the feed roller.
  3. Lightly moisten a lint-free cloth with water.
  4. Use the moistened cloth to gently wipe clean the surface of the feed roller. Advance the feed roller with your thumb as necessary, and continue cleaning.
  5. Let the feed roller dry fully before plugging the AC power cord back into the power outlet.
  6. Insert the paper tray into the printer, then press the Print button to resume printing.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Easy share kodak dock 3

Yes you can, but you need an appropriate USB cable----takes a regular USB type A on one end and a USB type MINI B (but NOT MICRO) on the other end. Kodak has one for 25 bucks. Stop at your local WalMart and pay 15 bucks or order it from for under 5 bucks (plus shipping of less than 3 bucks):

Just got a cable for similar use myself......Happy printing.

Battery won't charge on printer dock any more?

I had a similar problem. If you look in the battery compatment you will see a small switch in the keyway that gets pressed down by the key (the plastic rectagualr bump out) on the side of the battery, if the battery is loose the switch does not get pushed down and the dock does not recognize the battery as a Kodak Batery that it should charge. I solved the prblem by taping a singe piece of paper on the opposite side of the battery so that when it slides into the slot it pushes the switch down, I've nver had a problem since.
