What we want to do to transfer the video from camcorder to my PC windows Xp - pentium 4 ?

There are a couple of methods that you can use to transfer video into your pc. First you need to install the software that came with the camera onto your computer. Just put the disk in the CD or DVD drive on your pc and follow the prompts to install the software. If you no longer have the disk that came with your camera, you can download the software from Sony's website at Click on support and then downloads and enter your camera model information and follow the prompts to install the software on your pc.

Once the software is installed, you can use a cable to connect your camera to your computer. Once connected, you should see a pop up window that asks you what you want to do. Choose open files and then view and save the video and/or pictures to your computer.

If you do not have a cable to connect your camera to your pc, you can buy one at any electronics store or direct from Sony on their website.

You can also download video from a memory card if your camera has one and your pc has a card slot to access it.

Some cameras have the ability to send the videos and/or pictures stored on it to email. Check to see if your camera has this function and try sending copies of the videos to your email address.

I hope this helps? Good luck!

How do i transfer my videos from my canon dc330 into my comuter

Hey! As far as I know, Canon DC330 camcorders records high-quality MPEG-2 footage directly to a mini DVD-R or DVD-RAM. So you can watch it with your DVD-RAM drive onyour PC, or you can convert the recorded dvds into videos and play it with players such as Windows Media Player.
I'd like to share you DVD Converter Software which can help you convert dvd to common video and convert between videos. Hope that helps.

Trying to transfer video from Sony Dig 8 to PC

Videos cant be held on memory stick. They are of huge size to fit into memory sticks.

Check if camera has the firewire port. If so, you can get a 4 pin firewire cable and connect to the PC.
Switch on the Cam.
Open Windows Movie Maker and import video from device.

4 pin firewire would look like this:

You can use the Movie maker to burn it to the Disk

Transfer to dvd

The disk from your cam should play on any standard dvd player.

The size of the disk is irrelevant.

You may even notice a smaller circle in the tray of your dvd player but even if you can't, it should still play.

Best wishes.

Canon DC220 DVD Finalization problem

You have to plug the camera into the wall charger in order to finalize. I was having the same problem. Once finalized, I transferred the disk to the PC. You need DVD decrypter software in order to view the videos on the disk. Canon does not supply this. Canon recommended that I use one of several free downloads. They said download "DVD Decrypter" which I downloaded. Type DVD Decrypter into Google search and you will find it. It will rip it and download it to your computer. I then viewed the video with Windows Media. It works fine.
