There could be 2 problems here. Either your disc is scratched/corrupted, or something is wrong with your dvd drive's lense. As dandev said the best way to fix it would be to call xbox customer support at 1-800-4MY-XBOX

Theres a known problem with the hitashi dvd drive in the xbox 360.
the only solution to this is a home repair job, look up on youtube on how to do this, although this isnt recommended as it voids warranty.
so the best way is definitely just to ring microsoft and send ur console in for repair.

Well i bought a game called 2k8 basketball here in philippines, but i bought my xbox on australia, then i tryed my game and it said, ( The disc's region code is incorrect for this consol ) so how can i...

Sorry you can't fix it. Most games are Region specific meaning that they are playable only on Xbox 360 systems from the specific region that you have. If you bought your Xbox 360 in Australia then it is likely PAL system and can only play Pal games.

"Determine whether the game disc is from the same region as the region where you purchased the Xbox console. To determine the region, view the back of the game package. Look for one of the following codes:

* NTSC: North America and South America (United States, Canada, Mexico, Chile, and Brazil)
* NTSC-J: Asia (Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore, and Taiwan)
* PAL: Europe, South Africa, India, Australia, and New Zealand"

If the game you have doesn't match with your Xbox 360 Region then you won't be able to play it. (but a few games are playable on multiple regions, check list below)

Check out this site prior to buying games to help identify which games that aren't PAL might be still playable on your system.: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-00-3-xbox360_compatibility_guide-49-en-84-t.html

Notice that NBA 2K8 US version is not compatible with PAL system. If you had bought the US version of NBA 2K9 then it would have worked.

My nba 2k11 hangs when im playing in the middle of the game and it freezes and when i click the button of the controller it does'nt move to. what will i do what is the problem the disc or the xbox?

Could be both. If that only happens while playing NBA then it's a bad disc, check it for any scratches. If disc is fine you should go and replace it.

Hi,

I had the same problem with my Xbox, and the answer wasn't good. This is a hardware issue cause by the video coolor not working and the game overheating, making the video freeze totally.

Call 1-800-4MYXBOX, and have your console serial number ready. They might be able to walk you through some basic troubleshooting, but this will most likely end in you needing to send the system in for a repair.

Unreadable Disc says reading and then open tray

The easiest and most permanent fix would be to install a new drive. The process is simple and does not require alot of technical skill. Get your unit back up and running good for like fifty dollars or so.
