1st try the following, if u still get problem, plz do post comment, i/we'll answer:

though itz not clear to me..what os platform u r using..
assuming that u r using win xp pro sp2 and is using a licensed and UPDATED antivirus..

increasethe virtual memory size: open 'Run'->type"sysdm.cpl"->click on'Advanced' tab->click open 'Settings submit button underPerformance->click on 'Advanced' tab->here u'll find 'VirtualMemory' settings->click open 'Change' submit button in here->typethe 'Initial Size (MB): 1440'; Maximum Size(MB): 2880'..->click'Set' submit button->press OK->OK->Cancel..->now restart thepc..

hv a licensed and UPDATED antivirus installed (i prefer avg/kaspersky, , without updation a full version antivirus is useless)..
download, install n run microsoft kb890830..http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=AD724AE0-E72D-4F54-9AB3-75B8EB148356&displaylang=en..
download n run Startup Control Panel..http://download.cnet.com/Startup-Control-Panel/3000-2094_4-10039330.html..'removealltheunnecessary startup items from here..(if u can't find what to remove, post me/us in ur comment with all the items listed in each n every tabsherein)..
remove all unnecessary software from add/remove programs..
download, install n run 'Advanced System Care Pro'..http://download.cnet.com/Advanced-SystemCare-Pro/3000-2086_4-10399324.html..

also checkthe ram(s)..open it/them, rub itz teeth gently with a eraser, to removeany oxide and or carbon formed..resit them again into the slot(s)..

for better professional supervision, do contact ur system admin/vendor....

Your system most likely needs to be cleaned and defragged. Taking it back to factory settings as far as the Operating System goes will erase everything that you have installed on the PC since you bought it. The best solution is to remove any programs that you do not want through Control Panel>Add and Remove Programs. Then remove temporary files and browsing history. After that run a program in Windows called Disk Cleanup, when it tells you what files are safe to delete, most of the time it is safe. However, if you see a files listed that you know you want to keep then uncheck that file and continue with the process. After that run disk defragmenter, found under System Tools. This whole process will take several hours, but the alternative is to stick you Windows disk into the CD drive reboot computer and let setup do a complete new install of Windows, while formatting the hard drive. I would not recommend do that, but the CD will take you through it step by step if you wish.
