I replaced the power supply. But now all I get is the red hard drive light is solid. The green power light is blinking. The PC will not boot up. The new power supply doesn't have the extra plug that was on my mother board. It was plugged in right by the yellow IDE#3 slot(PNF AN-1). I'm not sure what that did. It was a blue and black wire. But I looked at 2 different power supplies and neither have the 2 wire plug. I am afraid my board is no longer good...please help.

HI:
Not all power supplies have that tiny, 2 pin plug. All it did was tell the motherboard that the power supply fan was running.
You might have problems other than a failed power supply, but the one way to check is to just plug in your new power supply to the motherboard only, and leave all the plugs disconnected from all other drives. pull the coin battery off the motherboard for a couple minutes, or clear the CMOS with the jumper, if you know how. Once you get the motherboard to POST, or power up with the new power supply, then turn it off and connect your drives, one at a time. Hopefully you will figure out what is not working

Early Chipset initialization comes on on the D-link. I replaced the the Pwr supply as it was bad but still get same issue. Previously I formatted the dive and reloaded XP...My memory is fine as I tested both modules. This is a 754 socket with AMD 3700+ CPU...Machine will boot, post and windows will come up then the machine will reboot and windos won't come up because it's hung at Early chipset inilization. I wanted to reformate the drive but when I boot from the CD I get an error code and the machine crashed. Didn't write down the error code and I am running some diagnostic s/w now. Do you think the board is bad? I also loaded the MB drives after Win XP was loaded. this loaded the ethernet drivers so I could get to the internet
