Seems like picture is on a skew. Another way to describe it is that it is in full view mode, but has like a shadow of smooth wide view.

IF picture looks 3 D go into customer menu and see if red or blue will not adjust.
if this is the case let me know and I will tell you what is wrong and what is needed to repair this problem.
I have fixed hundreds of Hitachi sets and know them well.
