Clarification Request

the question is unclear. can you not get to the settings or are the neighbours hacking into your system ?

If the former, read the manual do see how it's done

If the latter, try using WPA-PSK TKIP with a long, difficult passkey

Please turn off the "broadcast" feature of your Linksys router. This will turn off the "advertising" your router is currently doing, allowing your neighbors to find your network.

Next, you can set your router to allow only certain MAC address devices to use its features. You will need to find out the MAC address for each of your devices.

Next, you will have to setup a password situation to allow the logon. Currently, your scheme is not working. I'm not sure why.

I use Network Magic for my network management duties. It is a free download and eval period after which Cisco (maker of Linksys) would like for you to purchase a license. After the free eval period, Cisco allows you to continue to use the program but not all features unless you pay. I use the paid pro version and I love it.

NM will track intruders, help you share resources, repair broken connections and many other tasks.

P.S. There are no intruders in a wired system! If you can use a wire, instead of wireless, you will not only be more secure but faster as well.

I hope this information helps you ... Thanks for posting your Q at FixYa.com

You can enable wireless security on this router, by accessing the router setup page , follow this steps:

On the internet explorer address bar type 192.168.1.1 and that will ask you for a username and password, leave the username blank and type admin for the password if that wont work try typing your commonly use password, once you're already on the router setup page go to Wireless tab and look for a sub tab that says Wireless security just go to that and enable WPA personal and put there your 10 digit phone number and save the settings that will be now your the wireless key for your network so anyone wireless device that will be connecting to it will be ask to type in that 10 digit key......
