I am having difficulty connect my dell dimension

i am having difficulty connect my dell dimension 2400 to my toshiba plasma. when booting it shows me the blue microsoft screen,but when it comes to the point of hitting ctrl alt delete to enter my password the TV no longer shows my desktop.

try safe mode on boot up and then change the resolution 60 800 X 600 pixels and work your way up from there until you get the problem again then back up one step (or figure out what is the max resolution of your plasma.
