Yes, I can't eject it. So how do I remove the Keyboard /Palm Rest??? I've read if you just push the SD card back in, it should pop out like in a phone or a camera... But it's not working! It's like it's gone too far in

Can't retrieve your card? Do you mean can't eject it? You may need to remove the Keyboard/ Palm Rest and check to see if the eject button is stuck or broken.

Typically there is many screws on the bottom of the LT housing. The screws may or may not have a small icon or letter (i.e. K for Keyboard, P for Palmrest, respectfullty), next to each screw hole. Since I'm not very familiar with Toshiba LTs, mostly Dell and IBM, Laptops typically are similar in labeling, etc. for screw locations. You may need to remove both the Keyboard and Palmrest to get to the 'Multi card port'? Once the Keyboard screws have been removed, and be sure to keep them organized, since they may have different sizes. A good way to keep them organized is to make a rough sketch of the bottom of the LT and number the holes 1- ?? and use scotch tape to tape them to each numberes hole. An egg carton or the like works well, too. Pleas note: after removing thge screws, carefully flip the LT over and carefully remove the Keyboard and Palmrest, since there is a thin cable that attaches the Keyboard and/or Palm rest to the system board.

Says sd card error

Are you sure it's an SD card? Even though SDHC cards will also fit into the slot, they will not work in the A540. If the card is larger than 2GB then it will not work.

Where do i install the camera memory card into my laptop

According to the manufacture web site that model has a - • 4-in-1 Bridge Media Adapter, with Secure Digital, Secure Digital High Capacity, Memory Stick™, Memory Stick PRO™, Multi Media Card™ [shared slots]
So basically you need to look for just one slot, and you have to use one of those memory formats, If your using something else then it wouldn't work, You'll need a USB adapter that will read your type of media, The slot looks like its on the front edge of the laptop. It'll be a pretty small slot across the front, about where your left thumb would be. Its possible you have a model that didnt have one. The Bridge Media Adapter slot (available on certain models) supports the use of Memory Stick,, Memory Stick™ PRO, Secure Digital™ (SD™), MMC™ (MultiMediaCard™), or xD-Picture Card™ media. These media can be used with a variety of digital products: digital music players, cellular phones, PDAs, digital cameras, digital video camcorders, etc.
Lots of good info and owners manual at. http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/modelContent.jsp?ct=SB&os=&category=&moid=2221250&rpn=PSLB8U&modelFilter=L300-ST3502&selCategory=2756709&selFamily=1073768663
hopefully you can just click on all that,,,,,,

I put a CF photo card into the CF/MD slot right above the SM/XD card slot on my computer tower and the CF card kept going and is not inside the tower. How do I retrieve it?

It has to be in the card reader, it sound like it was inserted into the wrong slot and fell into the card reader. You may have to take apart the card reader to get your media back.

Card has wrong format?

The first thing you will have to check the card. There is slot on the card that contains a switch. This will lock the card so that it is write-protected. This will cause the unsupported card error.

If the card looks fine, try a card reader just to confirm that the card has not been corrupted.

If the card is functional and you can read its contents from the PC or another SD-slot device, then the issue is your camera. The slot contains thin copper prongs that comes in contact the copper surface on the back of the SD card. If the prongs are bent or damage, then the camera cannot read your card.

You might be running into a problem with the new card being a SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) card and not just a SD (Secure Digital) card. I have had similar problems with SDHC cards when I put then in older products that have regular SD slots (Photosmart Printer). The cards will still fit into the slots, however the method as to which they are read and written to is different which causes the problem. So, maybe try updating computer hardware drivers or mp3 firmware from the Sansa website. Also, if you can, exchange the 4gb SDHC for a 4gb SD card, this could be a pain in the ****, but this solution should fix your problem definately. Hope some of this helped.

??? These cameras take standard CF cards (and store images in standard JGP format) that can be 'read' directly by PC's with a multi-media card slot.

If your PC does not have a card slot, you can buy a USB CF Card Reader/Writer for a few dollars ..

PS always reformat the CF cards in the Camera not the PC ..
