Problem for LG 42LC2D 42 in. HDTV LCD Television
LG 42LCD less than 6 months old, picture is
LG 42LCD less than 6 months old, picture is flashing. What could be wrong?

- I am using HDMI connections. However, when I go to menu on my TV, I can't find where to adjustto auto as you suggested.
Also, I believe I did lose power today at the house, and might have a power surge problem?
Please help me with the auto adjustment as you mentioned, and any other comments you might
have regarding a loss of power. I can tell you the TV was not on when the power surge occured.

- I unplugged cable box for 5 minutes, let it reboot and that fixed the problem.Thanks

Hi,
If you have the input connected to the HDMi TV, there is a chance of picture getting flickered, if the resolution send by the device and the TV is incompatible....
If the receiver is set to send the signal at the frequency of 720p and the TV is set to operate at 1080p or vice verse then the picture would flicker..
In the settings in the TV,, try setting it to auto rather than 720p or 1080p, this should solve your issue..
If you were not connecting using the HDMi and if you use other, please leave me the details regarding the cable you use as a comment and ill respond you for the comment..

- Even when the TV is not powered on, the power surge may burn some components, leaving it to power problems..If your TV powers down at regular intervels or after sometime, some capactior may have bulged or failed... Try removing the panel and check for any bad capacitor and if found try changing that..After changing that, please leave me comment about the improvement and ill guide you further
