The bushings in the hinges are most likely worn out.If the screws,or the slots in the hinge will allow for adjustment, loosen the screws and move the door to desired level, and re tighten the screws.Removing the screws, and removing the door from the hinge, you can set washers on the bottom hinge to raise it up,is what most people do.When you remove the top hinge, with help, remove the door by lifting it straight up.Place two,or three washers on the stud,on the bottom hinge, the replace the door,on the hinge, and the top hinge, back in place.

Try adjusting the feet or shimming the unit from underneath or try loosening the three screws on the hinges it may be able to be slid back or forward to adjust the door. Hope this helps.

When dryer finishes it just keeps on beeping

Instructions

1

Open the door to the dryer and remove the screws in the hinge. Lay a towel on top of the dryer. Place the dryer door on the towel with the inside facing up.
2

Remove the screws from the inside of the dryer door. Disassemble the dryer door carefully, removing the cover on the right side of the innermost section of the door and the shield and hinge from the left side of the innermost section. Reattach the side cover to the left side of the innermost part of the door. Install the new shield to the right side of the door section, with the flat side against the door and the notches facing up (they will face into the dryer). Attach the hinge on the same side as the shield.

3

Set the top section aside. Rotate the remainder of the door 180 degrees so that the handle is on the left of the upside down door. Check that the latch aligns with the cover before screwing the door back together. Screw the hinge into the corresponding holes on the left side of the dryer door frame. Remove any stickers that might be blocking the holes.
4

Check the alignment of the door by opening and closing it several times. Loosen the screws on the hinge and nudge the door slightly until the fit is correct. Tighten the screws into place.

Fridge door squeaks, freezer door bumps

Slacken the three screws, align the door and tighten the screws up again. Try not to lean on the door when it's open.

My freezer door will not seal very well and creates large amounts of frost. If I could raise the door I think the problem would be fixed but I can't figure out a way to raise it. Any help would be...

first, take a look if there is some loads that protrudes and touches the frzr door, its one cause sometimes why you cant close it well, if there's nothing, door assembly is misaligned. To correct that, you should align the door, loosen the top hinge screw, with this you can see also if you can make an alignment by pulling it back and forth the retighten the lock screw. In side by side refs mostly they use special spacer, there's a band that they call it camriser. It is located at the bottom hinge and attached. if it is already worn out or the cams flattened already you should replace it, you can buy it on nearest supplier or bring the sample. One of the best remedy is to use flat washer that will fit into the hinge pin,it could raise the elevation of the door then you can align it now by adjusting the top hinge pulling it backward to get the correct alignment of the door.Dont forget to unplug the unit before doing this.

Door not closing as it has dropped down slightly

Refrigerator Door alignment has long been the bane of homeowners worldwide, so you're not alone.
Any time you remove a door on a refrigerator you take it out of alignment. The best solution for reattaching the doors is from the bottom to the top. This way you will have access to all the screws as you assemble. First set the primary bottom pin, be careful to remember adding the non friction white plastic washer on this pin/hinge. How ever many washers you took off, you will have to replace. Also remember that all of the weight of both doors finally rest on this one main pin so it's alignment is most critical. Once this pin has been screwed into place (loosely) you may close the door and concentrate on manually adjusting the door until it is square and aligned with the body. Take special note of the gasket on the hinge side only and be sure that it isn't squashed bent curled or severely mashed as this will defeat proper sealing of the door.
IF the gasket is compressed to far you can add spacers to the facing of the bottom and middle hinge to bring it away from the main body of the box itself.
If you have lost your spacers you can make new ones easily from coffee can lids.
Once the bottom pin is aligned you can loosely attach the middle pin/hinge which controls movement of both the refrigerator door and the freezer door. Now you should be able to open the Fridge door without it binding on the bottom. If so, you should now close the door, realign to the body and tighten these screws. Check once again for free door movement. Now proceed to the freezer and repeat the above procedure, making sure to add the non-friction washers.Align to the box and make sure the gaskets close and float easily then tighten the screws and Viollah!
You're done!.

Window on driver side of 2003 Camry stuck. Had

You can adjust the door latch by aligning the male and female portion of each. This can be adjusted by loosening the screw and aligning it. And finally when aligned, tighten the screw. Unless otherwise if the door hinges are loose, such that the doors are misaligned, then, you have to replace the door hinges. Or put a bushing at the door hinges to keep it
aligned. This will correct the defect.

How do i replace the gasket on a top freezer refrigator?

Hi, first you will have to remove top freezer door, remove plastic cover from hinge, at left or right, above door, remove top hinge, tilt door slightly forward and lift off, be careful with spacers between door and hinge, you have to put back spacer between door and hinge to get proper alignment. put door on flat surface, lift rubber and check underneat, you will see screws or plastic clips, if there's screw, make like 3 or 4 turns with screwdriver, dont completely remove screw, if you don't have, don't know what type of ref. you got, remove old door gasket, replace new one, and put it back on. good luck.

Side by side doors uneven at top

Hi Carol,

Interestingly enough, I answered a similar question just the other day. Maybe there's an outbreak of lazy factory technicians who "forget" to tighten the hinge brackets? Hmmmm. Makes on wonder...

Anyway, it's easy... The door alignment adjustment is done at the top hinge. Pull up a step-stool, then remove the hinge cover. Under there you'll see three screws, I think they're 5/16". Loosen these (since your door has dropped, they're probably already loose), then lift up on the door handle to align it with the other door... while keeping the door aligned, tighten the hinge screws (and put alot of torque on 'em to keep 'em from loosening in the future). Now just replace the hinge cover and your done!
