when we run the dishwasher the bubbles start to leak out halfway through the process. I look in and see bubbles all up in the lower section. A white film also is on there. Thanks, Bill
There are many reasons your dishwasher detergent will suds. (First off dishwasher detergent is designed "not" to suds which is why the dishwasher is 'leaking' the suds are rising from the bottom up). Reason one you do not use the dishwasher very often and your detergent has gone 'bad' because you have had it too long, the very reason it goes on sale. It has a shelf life. You may have accelerated the ageing by leaving the container open allowing oxygen to oxidize and destroy the detergent. Buy new detergent and buy a smaller size if you cannot or do not use it within the shelf life time period (what ever that may be) you are wasting your money with big containers or buying it on sale. Next you pre wash with regular dish detergent and the residue is on the dishes causing sudsing. Or possibly your drain hose does not loop above the drain allowing water from the sink to run down the hose into the dishwasher. Hope this helps.
Wrong soap. Use a brand name such as Cascade. Low sudsing. Before doing that, run a gallon of white vinegar through it in a normal cycle. Just pour it in the bottom and close and run.
