I have an Acer laptop. While typing the cursor suddenly jumps up a couple of lines, or suddenly may highlight a phrase, causing instant erasure of the previously typed material. Why does cursor continually (even as I type this) do this. I am not doing anything to cause it.

your palm might be hitting the touchpad causing your mouse cursor to move and jump around... try to type with only your fingers hitting the keys and the back of your hand raised and not hitting any part of your laptop... hope this helps....
