Can you help me remove the flashing white cross in the red circle as it won't let me get into the maps. I have tried to reset several times without success. Your help would be very much appreciate.

I just updated my One and now all I get is a flashing X after powering it up. I have tried the reset and all it does is powers the unit off. When I turn it on again, I still get the X

My Tomtom One 3rd edition worked fine untill I connected to tomtom home and updated it after giving it to the wife as a present..I am awaiting a response from tomtom (you cant get through by phone and you have to wait 2 days for a email response) I took it back to halfords in the mean time and they gave me a new one which also worked fine..I deinstalled all the tomtom software from my pc to start again...Blow me if the same thing didnt happen again once i tried to update the maps...Ill wait for tomtoms response,if no good it will be back to halfords to swap it for another Brand..

Same here today. Had to replace all the files with those I copied and burnt to a backup CD when I first connected the ONE. If I try just a map update through Home (not an application update) then I get a "No Maps" message after startup. I'll bet dozens of perfectly good units are being replaced by retailers everywhere. I am now going to seek an explanation from TomTom. It may just be that the current updates are buggy or corrupted. At least I had the sense to back everything up before I tried to update the thing so I can quickly get going again. Spent about three hours so far faffing about with this "plug and play with yourself" little marvel. Bah!

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

I have a TomTom Go 910 that has a RED CROSS FLASHING on the bottom corner, what I have found is that if you have backed up your TomTom Go i maybe able to reset the TomTom Go on my computer but if you havent you may have to find on try finding one on google but i have a TomTom Go 910 you can download the 910 on http://rapiddigger.com/download/backup-go-910-rar-9110176/.

after you found the back-up you can connect your TomTom Go to your computer using the USB provided from your TomTom Go, replace the doggie file with the new one, then this should change it back to the FIRST update given...

(WARNING >> PLEASE scan the file befor you put it in your TomTom Go it might contain a very very evil virus<< WARNING)

I have a tom tom 720 after connecting it to my computer. it will not turn on a white cross in a red circle keeps flashing

Ah, another case of the Red X. No worries, it can be fixed. Most likely your connection was interrupted during an installation or removal of software features. Follow this guide to get your TomTom back up and running.

I discovered that there was a file on the 910 called CLMDATA which was corrupt. When I deleted this in Windows explorer, the unit started up and worked OK. This file is recreated when the unit starts up
