Hello,
As you may know your U3 Smart drive has a small OS that allows you to run Your applications on another computer. This OS shows as a CD-ROM icon on which you click to execute the LaunchPad (TheOS) of the Cruzer. In addition to that you have the icon of a regular drive. (Usually the Drive letters are consecutive G and H for exemple.) When you safely remove one both are unmounted at the same time.
Once the LaunchPad has been executed, it installs an icon on the sys-tray. When clicked, that tray icon opens a pop Up window, giving a menu of the applications installed and which you can run on the host computer, but from your drive (U3 Smart Programs on the left) and on the right various menu options
- to explore the drive,
- configure the drive(settings),
- add programs (to download additional U3 programs),
- and enable security. etc.

So if you want to download
additional U3 Programs to run from you drive you use the Add programs (option 3 in the list above)
However, if you just want to put
regular files on the drive (pictures, text documents, etc.) you do as you woul for nay drive: You drag and drop the files, not on the CD-ROM icon, but on the other drive. You can also use the Explore option (option 1 in the list above) to open the second drive to see what is in it, add files, remove files etc.
Hope it helps
