According to Crucial's Memory Scan, PC2 5300 is supported, but I can't get anything above PC2 4200 recognized by the system.

- Phoenix BIOS, POST returns a single repeating beep when powered up. Blank screen, will not boot. Forgot to mention before.Solution #1

no is not that is a error from crucial or maibe be supported whid the lastest bios not whid the corrent so you need bios update and see if it work if not you need pc2 4200 ddr2 memory module thanks and good luck for bios go here ( http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=3254078&lc=en&cc=dk&dlc=da&lang=da&cc=dk )
