I have a dvr harddrive that came out of a retail store that was using it to record video. Since it is so large I'd like to convert it to my pc and use it as the main harddrive. I've tried it but all the pc does is click every couple of seconds. Why won't it let me load windows xp on it and start fresh?

your hard drive have lunix so the windows are not able to controllet because the directories dont mach so you need seagate tools or the make or your drive but i sopose is seagate and erase the drive to manufacture settings and afther load windows thanks and good luck
