Casio ex-z700 The lens will not open up when I turn on the camera. After a while a message shows on the cammera that says check connections. It was working ok before. I turned it off, put it away and a few days later turned it on to view pictures and this happened.

Try these procedures.

Normally changing the battery solves this.Make sure you replace it with a good quality new battery and make sure it goes in the right way around as when you get in a flap it often ends up in the wrong way!

90 percent of the time, it's dirt, sand or grit that has gotten into the lens mechanism preventing it from opening properly. Try this:
Take an air compressor if you have one, or maybe you can use a friends, anyway, put the nozzle up to the camera and run it around the space between the lens and the camera to clean out any dirt or yuk that may have gotten in there. Best of luck. Leave me a comment if you have any other questions.

The only way to fix a lens error is to send it into repairs. Call them at 800-706-2534 option 2 and they will tell you the closest place to send it to.

Hello, I'm Mark Faith from the states. I purchased the CASIO EX-Z700 series.
However, I accidentally dropped the camera when the camera was on and the lens was extended.
It makes a grating sound, and the monitor screen said "Lens error".

Now, the camera is turned off with its lens extended.
When I see the lens from the top, the lens position is more concentrated to the right, and the gaps between each lens is bigger on the left hand side of the lens.

I sincerely hope this would help you to analyze the lens situation.

If the photo shoot out show white , the obscure (quality variation), and even horizontal line ( white lines), and so on over-exposure cases, even if the use of anti-tremor, set to default values are invalid, because the camera shutter fault.
