PROGRAMING REMOTE TO TV

I also have a Panasonic TV/VCR combo, and bought a universal remote to replace the lost one. Problem is that most recent (last five or six years) only have TV/DVD remote codes. The solution that worked for me was what I believe jesse is suggesting. I program the VCR and TV codes separately. Kind of a pain, though, as the on/off and channel commands (up/down and numbers) only work in VCR mode, and I have to press the TV button for volume commands. Not bad for me, really, but more for every member of my family who constantly complain "it is not working again!"

This is a comon problem, look up your code again, but notice combo, look at just the tv, now the vhs, try all of these codes
