My ryobi pbc-3046YE brushcutter wont run. When I start with choke it races for a few seconds then cuts out, if I get it started without choke it idles briefly then cuts out, if I try to accelerate it cuts out.
Fuel starvation - 'lean fuel' condition
Basic things to check: 1) spark plug 2) spark arrestor in muffler 3) fuel lines and tank filter 4) turn adjustment needles out (counterclockwise) 1/4 to 1/2 turn
*if all of the above are OK and/or do not improve performance then: Remove Carburetor 5) replace gaskets/diaphragms b) use a spray carb cleaner to clean jets, holes, and body of carb

I have a Ryobi petrol line trimmer with curved shaft. Installed reeleasy head what a fiasco! Spool is correct way, line is wound in by turning orange knob counter clockwise. When trimmer is started the springiness in the drive shaft allows the head to oscillate a few times & the inertia of the spool winds the line IN. Once this happens the only way to recover the situation is to remove the head, & line, & reinstal both. After about 10 times it may start smoothly & be O.K. & bump feed O.K The idea is fantastic if only I could get it to run without sucking the line in.
