My player also ran out of power and won't recharge. I e-mailed digital blue through their website (www.playdigitalblue.com). They answered right away and suggested solutions. I tried them all but none worked so they asked for my purchase receipt and have me send the player for testing or repair. They might replace it if it's defective.

Have you tried an other USB cable??? have you tried a different USB port on the computer??? try the scanner on an other computer as well, does it have POWER???... eazy stepps to troubleshoot all types of devices is to first make sure the device has POWER, than concentrate on connectivity (cables, ports, etc...) than try it on an other computer, re-install drivers as well..., check for viruses also, when everything is clean and it still not working than replace the device... it's dead (send flowers) ha! just kidding!

There are several types of chargers you can use with the mix max....car charger, wall charger, USB to computer (FYI turn your computer off while charging and it stops), and my favorite - the speaker station. Just do a search for disney mix max charger on the internet, amazon, or ebay and several options will come up. I like the speaker station because it is easy to charge with it and lets my daughter use it as a stereo and dance unit if she wants.
Generally the Code 10 suggests that the USB device is faulty (or the USB port/controller on the computer). There is also a possibility that you need a correct driver for the device.
Have you tried plugging the device into a different USB port? On many computers that have USB ports on the front, those ports are legacy (version 1.1) USB ports and you should try the ones in the back first.
