Question about Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9564J Top Load Washer
The water will not drian
The switch on the washer lid was bad, you can either short it by tying the 2 gray leads together, then the washer will spin and drain weather the lid is up or down ( not the best solution) or replace the switch, 25.00 to 45.00 depending where you purchase.

If you were to open the lid, and close it right after the wash cycle (when it would normally start to drain), does it drain? Is the motor running at all, or does it immediately try to spin with the water in it? (as though it's missing the drain step) If so, the timer is partially shorted, and its not allowing it to go into the drain cycle.

The timer wheel might be loose. you need to get it to turn 1 or 2 clicks more clockwise
