Question about D-Link Air Xpert DWL 7000AP (DWL-7000AP) 802.11a/b/g Wireless Access Point

D-Link Air-plus and Ares p2p

My friend uses D-Link Air-plus and it functions normally while on the web, but for some reason I can not understand, when Ares is running the D-Link will function normally for a short time but then drop out and be unable to locate a wireless network, until you close ares and click on the repair tab on the Wireless Network Connection. I have tried Ares ver. 2.09 and then 2.08. No change in system behavior.

One sim will work in the D-link DWR-730 firn but when I put in another sim that is working fine in another device, it won't work. I can log onto the d-link but you cannot get onto the web

I do have the same problem. All works fine except it stays "disconnected" and no way to change that.
Also I found no way to put or change the number to be dialled in the DWR-730 to connect to a service. Normally it needs to dial *99# for the operator I am using. I guess our problem is only that.
Who from Dlink can tell us how to access the modems dial string?

Helllo, Just purchase the D-link Air plus Xtreme G DWL-2100AP Wireless Access Point but I cannot access to put my username/password. I connected it directly to the ethernet from the wall but I can...

Step 1 Log into the web-based configuration by opening up a web browser and typing in the IP address of the access point (

Step 2 The default username is admin (all lower case) and the password is blank (nothing). Click OK.

Step 3 Click on the Advanced tab and then click Encryption on the left side. Select the Wireless Band (DWL-7100AP only).

Step 4 Click the radio button next to Shared Key and then click Enabled next to Encryption. Make sure your other wireless devices are set to Shared Key.

Step 5 Next to Key Type, select HEX or ASCII. You will need to use the same key on all your wireless devices.

· HEX - use 0-9 and A-F only.
· ASCII - All numbers and letters.

Step 6 Next to Key Size, select the level of encryption (64, 128, or 152-bit).

Step 7 You can enter up to 4 different keys. Select the key you want to use from the Valid Key drop-down.

Step 8 Enter your encryption key. You make this up yourself. If you selected HEX, then enter a key made up of a combination of numbers (0-9) and letters (A-F). For example - A4572BCC19 (HEX).

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Thanks, Joe

Unable to connect D-link Air plus xtreme g wireless access point from pc for making configuration

Under Windows 7, press the "Start" button.
Type 'cmd' into the search-box, and press ENTER.
Type 'ipconfig /all', and press ENTER.
Look for the IP-address for the "gateway" (or "DHCP-server").
Type that IP-address into your web-browser.

Power light is on, lan light is on, wlan light blinking. laptop says no connection. It asked me for ssi name i entered dlink

Is dlink the name of your network? I think your confusing it with the manufacturer.

Try This:
On the bottom of the router there is a number or ip address it should look something similar to this Now, if you have access to the internet, if not, go use a friend's computer or the library and type that number EXACTLY as it appears in an internet browser (internet explorer, firefox, safari) where you would normally type a web address. You will be prompted with a password, enter the password. Now go through the setup and change the SSID when prompted to. Now enter that SSID which you just made when searching for networks on your wireless device.

This might solve your problem. If you have questions, contact me on my profile. Good luck!

Are there new drivers for teh Wireless G Plus MIMO USB adapters for windows 7?

From Belkin's Support web site: Windows 7 Product Support Information Windows 7 users:
If you are using an older Belkin Networking product, you may not have support for Windows 7 with your current software. Please visit your product specific support site to check for updated Windows 7-compatible software for your product.
Software updates will be posted as they become available. Please check back if your product is not currently supported.
Some updates may still be in the process of going through Microsoft’s official certification program. Although they have been thoroughly tested, they may present a warning message when the driver is being installed. These drivers will install on 32 bit operating systems but not on 64 bit systems, which is the normal and expected behavior.

Are you sure that the 100% you are seeing isnt the signal strength??? Uninstall/reinstall the drivers and see if that makes a difference.

sure...they are filtering your traffic...i'm afraid you have to either live with it or change providers. there are a few ways to get around this but none of them are easy or painless and honestly not really ptractical. Good luck
