i have a 6.5 pioneer kevlar component set and the mid base speaker just doesn't work, I thought it was the crossover so i put another speaker on it to check and that is fine is there any reason it could have just stopped working

if the speakers are old or they have been misused it is possible for the voice coil to have melted causing the speakers to cease. can the cone be easily pushed in and out?

it sounds like the voice coil is burnt try pressing down on it while playing your radio if it turned on and off then it's a voice coil.
