My Zen 16GD player and Kodak C310 camera will not

My Zen 16GD player and Kodak C310 camera will not connect to PC. The MTP Device driver does not install properly. In "Device Manager", under "Portable Devices" it shows "MTP Device" in leiu of my Zen player. Iv'e tried everything I know and spent way too long trying to fix this problem. Any and all will be appreciated
