I have a broken screen for my tv. Is it repairable and how much am i looking at?

If it is an older LCD set you have, you will probably not be able to replace the screen as the part will most likely no longer be available.

It will also be cheaper to just buy another TV than to have the screen on the old one replaced as there will be both parts and labor charges to fix your current TV. So I would not really bother looking at repair options if the screen in broken.

The cost of a replacement panel is over half the cost of a new TV. You may find that model on Ebay with power problems and can get a used panel that way but in most cases a broken panel leads to a new TV. You can sell your unit for parts to offset the price, the internal board will still be good if you go that route.

Panel screen is broken, need be replace. Price is too high ( new). Maybe is not worth repair.

LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display. It is all one unit and when broken can not be repaired. The only way to fix it would be to purchase a replacement screen but that would probably cost more than replacing the whole TV. You might look for a used TV of the same model with a good screen and a bad circuit board and exchange parts but it is far easier to replace circuit boards than LCD screens so if you find a similiar model with a bad circuit board take the good board from your set to make the one with the good screen work again.

I would diffidently take it to a repair shop and see.If it's a projection screen then that's what it is,a broken mirror.

Sorry,not repairable,because the LCD,PLasma,and DLP screen are limited produced.Replacing the tv pannel screen will cost the same as a new tv.Might even cost more after the labors.The tvs screen is about 90% of the tv,that why when is broken or damage,now it only use for it electronics boards parts,or sell for it electronics boards parts that it.

you might can find a tv repair person that needs the parts or has one with a good screen but bad electronics....sorry you need a new tv.....

Once the screen's broken, it's basically junk. The replacement screens cost AT LEAST as much as a new TV.
