The "switch-mode-power-supply" has DETECTED a fault and then goes into full or partial SHUTDOWN to save itself from a catastrophic, nonrecoverable failure. eg. sparks, smoke, fire. The good news is you stated "picture staying only 2secs" !!! It can be fixed! Just how you do it is the question only you can answer. If you know how to replace components on a circuit board (unsolder&solder) you might do it for less than $12 in parts. If "do it yourself" is not your thing, then here are your options: Acer refurb swapout. ??? Contract to local TV/Monitor shop.?? Contract to a distant Repair shop.???
