Hello guys, please only reply if you have a realistic solution. I have a JVC HM100 camcorder and I have recently attached a cheap wide angle converter. Since then, my trouble started. When I take it off,...

When was the last time you white balanced your camera? I can't say for certain, but it sounds very similar to a problem I use to deal with all the time.
  1. set the ND filter according to the lighting
  2. set the WHT.BAL. switch to A or B
  3. locate a place with similar lighting conditions as the subject, place a white object near the center of the screen and zoom in to fill the screen with white
  4. press the auto white balance button
I got all of this from the manual. starting on page 35. I hope this turns out to be it. Let me know how it works out!

GR-D33U camcorder..... No display on LCD or viewfinder. Message states that lens cap is on but it is not. Tried all settings in luck! Any suggestions?

Zoom the camcorder as far as it will go and shine a flashlight into the lens assy. Inside the lens assy there is an iris that works pretty much like our eyes (closes when it is too bright and opens up when it is darker). If all you see is black when you are shining the light into the lens, your iris is stuck closed (like having your eyes shut). If your iris appears to be open and functioning properly, then you likely have an issue with your CCD assy. The CCD assy is the what lets your lens talk to your main PCB.

Sometimes by zooming in all the way and shining a light into the lens, the camcorder will "unstick" itself. You will most likely need to have it repaired by an experienced technician.

Hope this has helped you.

JVC GR-DF470AA continually zooms in automatically even when not pressing zoom. Its like the zoom button is stuck on zoom. To stop the zoom I have to press the zoom out.

This sounds like a physical problem with the switch, but you will have to disassemble it to see what's going on. There are videos on utube that demonstrate the process, if you elect to try that. If you elect to have it serviced, get an estimate first, as they can be fairly expensive to fix. Wish I had better news.

HELLO My camera zoom to self AUTOMATIC

Usually, it’s a faulty zoom switch inside the camera's lens grip.

My gs500s colors are bright pink and i tried changing white balance and nothing works

Try going into "reset" master mode. otherwise you need to make sure your camera is shooting on the right setting for the light you are using. For example, when shooting in daylight with interior light setting (approx. 3200k) your photos will look off color and yellow or pink because sunlight is 5600k approx.,. . . contrary while shooting indoors with incandescant lighting if the camera is set for sunlight exposure (5600k) the picture will look blue. Make sure you read the manual on how to white balace, but first take the camera out of AutoExposure settings to do all the settings manually. Auto focus and auto exposure are for rookies and these types of errors will happen. Always try to do manual iris and manual focus for best results zoom in and get your focus on the subjects eyes then zoom out and frame up your shot.

Zoom is stuck

Just check the DC power supply flowing to the Lens block control. Some times the SMD fuse blows off and power may not reach the lens block motor.

Zoom problem

Ive seen this three times and everytime its been something differant. Fist was the rocker switch was jammed. easy fix as dirt was in there. Second was a small serface maounted capacitor in the zoom interface circuit. An third never found the problem as we thought it was a limit switch in the lens itself but the customer never paid for a new lens assy so we didnt order it. Good luck
