Problem for Maytag Neptune MAH5500B Front Load Washer

The door latch on our MAH5500B often does not open

The door latch on our MAH5500B often does not open after the spin cycle is done.
We get an Lo error.
Per the manual, unplugging, waitng a few minutes, then replugging the AC cord will cause the latch to open.

What could be inhibiting it?
