when playing games on my computer emachine it shuts down and power light flashes the only way I can get my computer up again is to completely unplug computer wait for light to go out and then repower up and restart.

Sounds like your overloading the power supply or overheating the CPU make sure your fans are all working, if not fix them before you fry everything.
