- when i turn on my laptop it willnot go welcome sign and doesn;t open the desk top. i can get it to work if i only log off not shut down. or turn off by holding down the alt,crt,delete buttons anitaClarification Request

What happens when you click on the user account shown on the screen? Have you tried reinstalling the operating system?

1 try to boot in safe mode once you get to desktop
2 in run type msconfig
3 disable all startup program and restart system
4 if it boots normally then again go to msconfig and select one startup program
5 restart if it start again normally then repeat the last process and keep repeating until you get to the faulty program...
