How do i replace the belt on my dirt devil vaccuum? I opened the bottom up I just dont understand how to get the belt around the small metal rod.
That metal rod is probably the motor shaft or pulley. On some of these, the open space between the shaft and top cover is very narrow. You just have to push thru th opening to around the shaft, then put it on the brush roll. Th belt will stretch enough to re-install the brush roll.
