Hello,
When you say stuck in sleep mode if you mean the power light blinks and no picture then the internal power supply has died. This is a very common problem on the Dell E173FP series of monitors. That series has 3 different versions and each requires a different repair procedure. Check our web site at: www.ccl-la.com We have repair guides for many LCD monitors and the E173FPb, E173FPc and E173FPf versions are included. If you don't want to do the repair we do offer a repair service for $30 plus return shipping.
