Question about Canon PIXMA iP1500 InkJet Photo Printer

1 Answer

Blur colors I've read messages before, but I didn't find the answer I need. I use a plain paper for my canon pixma ip1500, I've set it to default, but when I print pictures or "head alligment" colors are spilled, with white strings, even when I print on "high" quality. I've just changed the ink (both tanks) but it's the same. I also did the "nozzle check", "cleaning", I installed the driver for printer, but it's hopeless...

Canon ip 1600 'color cartridge not recognized and/or device not r

Two things. 1. check your cabling to make sure your printer is properly connected. 2. clean your printer's inkwells.
If you send me an e-mail, I can send you a service manual for a Canon Pixma iP1500. Manual is the same for both printers. I can also send you the software service tool. I have both, as I have a Canon iP1500 printer (cheap ink cartridges).
My e-mail address is:

Canon Pixma ip1500 is printing but very wierdly. random lines will not show up in black. If i change the color everything is fine but black will skip lines and such. Please help! Can't turn in job...

Your printhead is plugged and needs cleaning. If you remove the inks and then the printhead, you can wet and fold a paper towel and just dab the printhead gently on the wet towel. When you see a solid black line on the paper towel your printing should be improved.

Won't print black when set for plain paper

Try removing all ink bins except black then you won't have any problems. You should also be able to go into your printer settings and select "Black and White" or "No Color" and it will print ok. Removing the ink trays is the easiest way though.

Printer grabs multiple pages to print one. Prints in mostly green for color copies.

Go into the printer setup menu and change the paper type to default. If your using Microsoft Word, go to 'File" > "Printer">"Properties" , and change to "plain paper" or default.

The problem sounds like the printer is set to print photos which is a heavy paper type. The printer needs to be set for a standard weight paper.
