Hi, I have a Neptune FAV6800 that I just got from a relative. He said it wouldn't complete the spin cycle. What I found is it started the wash cycle got to drain the first time and did drain but gave a nd code for not draining. I added water (lots of it) and it all drains out, but it won't move beyond this point. Any ideas?

- Rich,
I got the Neptune going today. I was suspecting the pressure switch as well. When I cycled the machine I found it started to try to clean things without any water in it. I knew something was up with it. I removed the switch, cleaned it, and checked the contacts for low, medium and high, found the high wasn't closed. I adjusted it slightly, there are a series of screws that adjust the pressure trip point. Once I did that, I put it back and ran it in the spin cycle. Once it completed that I ran a load through it and it has now done 5 loads so far today. Thank you for the advice, I do like the machine very much. I had repaired one other that has sticky clutch bearings. I saw someone talking someplace about a $57 clutch for this machine. Any idea where to get them? I am going to start collecting them! This site is great for helping out! Jerry.Nov 11, 2009
- Do you know if there are replacement springs for the clutch assembly? I have repaired two clutches so far on these machines. I would really like to find a MAH5500 front loader. I think those are great machines. I think I will become a Maytag repairman!Nov 11, 2009
- Yes, the spring was broken very close to the loop. I did manage to bend a new loop in the spring and it is working fine. The bearings were sticky on this one as well as the other one I worked on. It is washing a load, the 7th of the day right now! JerryNov 11, 2009
- One machine was a 11 and the other a 16. Both had the one way roller clutch assembly on them. Would love to talk with you, you've made this a lot of fun! I was actually looking for more machines! Can we post an email address to contact each other?Nov 11, 2009
- How difficult are bearings to replace on the front load Neptunes? I see lots of them for sale and many say they are loud or have bad bearings. I would like to find a MAH5500 if possible. What do you think of those machines? Jerry.
