My son has a Dell Inspiron 1300 hooked to my wireless port. The computer when we received it had full screen, but now the width has a gap on the left and right about an inch or so. the height is ok. Is there any way to bring it back to full screen.?

Go to Start >Control Panel > Display or Personalization (XP vs Vista)
Display Settings.
Adjust the resolution... The bigger the numbers are ie. 1440x900, the smaller the font and icons, the larger the resolution ie 800x600, the bigger everything gets and fills the screen back up.
Try several settings... Windows will give you 15 secs to make up your mind or revert. You'll find a happy medium doing this.
