Re: in24in26

If you're getting a black and white image with or without source, it's probably the color wheel. Do you hear anything loose inside the projector? if you do it's the glass fragments of the broken color wheel.

How can i repair a optoma 706 lcd displaying white and black vertical lines?

FAULT: If lines are flickering with black and white and there is no data in line its mean the DLP unit is faulty.
SOLUTION: the only solution is this that you replace the DLP unit the DLP unit is electroniccomponent and not a repairable (as show in picture) good_help_19.jpg

Picture is black and white

Either the color wheel has thrown off all 6 of it's colored glass filters (most likely) and needs to be replaced. Or in the picture menu someone had turned the color all the way down (Less likely).

Good Luck!

Projects in black and white

It's probably the color-wheel problem. Maybe the color-wheel stucked because of dust and/or color-wheel sensor is covered with dust.

The simple way to check this, without reinstalling drivers or so, you just tap menu button on remote. If you will see only black-white user interface it is definitly color-wheel.

Good luck.

Displays picture in black and white

This must be a DLP (I hate DLP Personally). What most likely happened is that the color wheel got stuck or broke. Remove the bulb, you will be able to see the color wheel. Don't touch it with your hand, see if you can move it with a tooth pick or something. Then try turning it on with the bulb out to see if it moves.

A black and white picture on a DLP projector is usually a failure of the color wheel. Verified by viewing the projector menu.

Hitachi pj-tx100 black and white picture when using s-video

s-video carries luminance and chromanance. In simple terms, luma provides a a black and white picture, chroma the color data. without chroma, you get no color. Either - the cable is bad (usually in the form of bent/broken pins in the connector ends - the source device is bad - the projector input is bad
