Question about LG WM-3677HW Front Load Washer / Dryer

My detergent/softener pull out drawer is stuck!!! need help please!

So i've been very pleased with this washer/ problems to date until today....the last load I did, I thought I might have put slightly more detergent than the blue cup holds, although it was very minor if that initiated the problem.

Nonetheless, I can't pull out the drawer. I took off the cover that has the LG model # on it, so I could try to pry in the drawer more, but it feels unable to open. Possibly, the little holder in there is pushed up by the liquids, so the drawer won't pull out. Anybody had this problem or know how to fix it? Please let me know! Thanks,

I have not heard of this problem myself, however what I would suggest is to get a long, thin, flat knife or scraper and try to get the cup to seat properly. Another attempt is unplug the unit and remove the lid. Try and tap the top of the dispenser to see if it will drop back into place. To take the lid off, 2 screws and push the lid backwards with a little force.

This problem has just started popping up for me as well.  I believe that the problem is in the dispenser assembly where the drawer slides into.  You will have to pull hard and possibly may break a part of the plastic drawer to open it.  The dispenser assembly looks like it is bowing in the middle and jamming up against the dispenser drawer.  If it jams up like that, you may need to replace both the drawer and dispenser assembly togther.

I need a manual for Spectra TL3635 INOX washer

The manual doesn't appear to be available online, but you don't really need it.

Remove the drawer by pulling it out, and then lift and pull. Are you sure it isn't marked what goes where? My Whirlpool washer is marked in raised writing.

The detergent is one large compartment that is open at the back.

The bleach dispenser is usually in the middle and is small.

The fabric Softener is full depth, but has a system which siphons the softener out when water is added to it. In other words it is a reservoir that holds the fabric conditioner until needed.

With the drawer removed, turn the machine on to do a small wash. Water will come down on the section for detergent at the very beginning. towards the end of the first fill, another jet of water will come down to add bleach to the already filled machine. After the rinses, when it gets to final rinse, a jet of water will hit the Fabric Conditioner compartment. Get ready to insert the drawer if the water splashes out, or plug the front with a tea towel.

Water in the Softerner compartment

The softener drawer cover is designed to siphon out most of the water that runs into the drawer so, when the wash is over, the drawer should always be nearly empty. Unclip and take out the detergent drawer, unclip the softener cover and fill the softener tray with water. Clip the softener cover back on and the water should run out immediately. If it doesn't then a small blockage in any of the 3 pipes in the cover can completely stop the siphon action. Cleaning them out is generally all that's needed.

I would like to know what laundry detergent and softner to use in my front load, and the right amount to use. I buy the H E products and some of them are really sudsy in the wash sink and I have this awful...

You should use HE detergent following the directions for that detergent. You can add liquid fabric softener. Make sure to fill the appropriate compartment to the Min line if you are doing a small load.

I've never used a washer that drained into a sink (always had a stand pipe). However, I suspect that the gummy residue is the excess softener that was removed in the rinse cycle. Try rinsing the sink with hot water after a laundry. This is part of the procedure to clean the inserts and detergent/bleach/fabric softener drawer when you get a build up in the drawer. In the future, use less fabric softener in the washer. Alternately, skip the fabric softener in the washer but use a dryer fabric softener.

The manuals for most Frigidaire appliances are available from .

I hope this helps.

After cycle, water is in the softener and bleach

Water floods the dispenser compartments at the start of the cycle to dilute/dissolve the softener, bleach, and detergent. The reason why water is in the compartment after the cycle is that, the detergent, the softener, and/or the bleach does not flow into the tub properly. It's either the dispenser assembly is clogged or excessive amount of detergent, softener or bleach is used. Clean the dispenser assembly and make sure to use no more than two tablespoons of powdered HE detergent or one-and-a-half ounces if liquid HE detergent.

  1. Unscrew the two screws on the back of the top plate then pull it back then upward.
  2. Pull out the dispenser drawer.
  3. Unscrew the two screws then push the dispenser assembly out.
  4. Unscrew the nut at the lower part of the dispenser.
  5. Remove the four connectors from the valves.
  6. Unscrew the two screws from the back of the cabinet.
  7. Reinstall the dispenser assembly in reverse order.

My washer is holding water where you put bleach or softener after cycle is done. Help!

Remove the detergent drawer from the machine, the instruction book will tell you exactly how to do so, but usually you pull them out as far as possible and then push down on the rear centre top of the drawer to flex the plastic slightly to allow the drawer to come all the way out.

The softener/bleach compartment has a siphon built into it and this gets blocked, normally with a black scummy deposit made of microbes and softener residues. You need to clean out as much as you can, you may need a cotton bud to reach deeper crevices. It's usually possible to unclip the siphon from the drawer; it looks like a kind of lid partway over the rear of the softener compartment. If you can get it off you'll normally see two dead ended vertical tubes which are vertical and the top one fits over the lower one. Clean both thoroughly inside and out.

Reassemble and put the drawer on your sink drainer. Fill the softener compartment with water: it should drain out via the siphon if you've cleaned it enough.

Refit the drawer to your washer and in future clean it out every couple of weeks or weekly in the summer.

Front loader LG washer drawer for detergent is stuck won't open

Remove the top of the washer by removing the 2 retaining screws (phillips head) from the back of the unit & sliding the washer top back about 2" & pulling up. You will see a white detergent dispenser box with several hoses coming off the back in the left front of the unit (this box contains the detergent drawer). The lid to this box is held on by 8 pressure snap clips. You only need to release the 4 snap clips (3 large, 1 small at the rear) on the right side of the box (nearest the washer drum). Pull up on the right side of the lid while pulling out on the detergent drawer. It should come out normally. Do not reassemble until you read below, then reverse the steps to put the washer back together.

The problem will be the "softener" lid (blue). It will not be sitting down in the drawer assembly & will catch on the lid of the white detergent dispenser box. Simply remove the blue lid to avoid future jambs. It only serves to identify the fabric softener recepticle & it keeps fabric softener from splashing around when water enters the system. You may need to remove the entire detergent drawer periodically to clean (push down on the blue thumb indent inside the drawer to release it from the housing).

Hope this keeps you from drilling through the lid & ruining a $23 part, like I did.
