Please do not take offense to anything I say but your compressor because it has nothing to do with you. It's a personal grudge against that particular air compressor and the Air Compressor Nazi's that designed and built it. It is a piece of junk, and that's the nicest thing I can say about it..
The model you have was built for one thing and one thing only. It was to get an air compressor into the hands of customers that never really needed an air compressor for anything more then inflating a tire or a basketball. My friend's mother bought him one because, as she put it "it was cute".
In all seriousness it is a throw away air compressor. I have seen several go bad with less then 30 hours time on the pump and motor. If it is bad and from your description it sounds like it, there is nothing you can do about it. Impossible to get parts for unless they come from another one of the same type.
I'm sorry that I can't be more helpful. What I can say is you are better off to replace it. There are plenty of similarly sized and priced compressors that are far superior to the 3gal. 11/2 hp craftsman. The Senco PC1010 is a great compressor for it's size and specs. Good luck

- That is incredible. 15 years? I would have never believed that compressor would last that long. I guess the "Air Compressor Nazi" who built that one had a good week end right before he built yours.
Because I can understand your desire to fix it and 15 years of service is inspiring I scoured the web for parts. I am not positive if this is the exact model but you can contact them to be sure. I included the link and a diagram from the site.
I think you will need to contact them with your compressor's model# to be sure the parts will work. Hope this helps.
