Hello tim_merritt, Sorry to hear of the new issue. You can release the washer top from the base with this procedure and raise the washer top to remove your clothes. The Service Manual for reference. Sears Parts Direct for reference. Raise the top of the machine.Insert a flat blade putty knife approximately 2.5” from the left and right sides of the washer top, depress the spring tabs securing machine top to the washer base.See page 33 of the Service Manual for the putty knife insertion point.
Did you replace the clutch or have it done by a repair service, just trying to get a feel for your hands on experience.I assume you have 120VAC at the washer power outlet is that correct?
If you do then as the other poster said it would seem to me also that the Control Board has failed. It’s a 15 minute job to change. This is the part number for the FAV6800AW Control Boardis 25001217; click on the Conrol Board link for price checker at AZ. If you want to DIY I will try to help.If you decide to call in a service repair company I would call Maytag and see if your Control Board is still under warranty which is 5 yrs.The number to call is 800-688-9900.Maytag will need your model number and serial number, that info is located on the back right top side of the console. Warranty and the Maytag customer service number is in the Service Manual. Good Luck Richaka dh1200s

My Neptune TL is not completely draining. I've got the tub out but am having trouble getting the big bolt off the bottom to open up the tub. I've checked the pump and lines and they are clear. I can still here water in the tub so I would like to take it apart to inspect
