Question about RCA RT2600 System
At first when selecting 'source up/down' buttons on the unit it may display 'mute' sometimes as if i had pressed the mute button.
now after 2years....it turns on gives video from my dvd player then after 15sec a loud humm comes from all speakers...even if the volume is down to zero....this lasts 3secs then a louder 'bang' is heard like if someone dropped a microphone....at the same time as the bang, the screan displays 'OVERLOAD' and the unit shuts off (i.e. standby).
this happens no matter what source is on , vcr analog, dvd, digital, etc.,
this happens if no speakers are connected or not connected
this happens if dvd, vcr, etc, is connected or not connected
will admit perhaps a lot of dust inside unit.....unit was working perfectly (i.e. sound and video) before.
one night it was left on all night with my dvd off....i turned of the rt2600 in the morning,....this was the last time i remember it working before the 'OVERLOAD;' problem.
Your receiver has blown out you need to buy a NEW Receiver and sub-woofer (the sub isnt compatable with better receivers)
