The Television worked fine one night. The next morning it just made the clicking sound like it was trying to come on, but no picture! I have tried unplugging it for a few days and replugging it in, but same problem! Now wondering what its gonna cost to fix, and is it worth it?

I have the same problem is there help?????? or should I be looking for a new TV

My TV did the same thing just black screen and tv shut itself off. I tried hitting the power button and all I heard was a clicking sound. Also tried the unplug and plug it in same sound. Repair tech did come out but said it would be about $348 to fix. We were hoping we could replace the part ourselves. Has anyone found the part that needs to be replaced or had a tech fix for less than the above quote. Thanks Bonnie

The power supply is in the protect mode. There is probably a short in one of the areas on the circuit boards. It is also very likely that there is a scan failure. The set would have to be properly troubleshooted to determine that exact failure.

Hi.The ballast may be defective if you hear constant clicking sounds after you've pressed the power button.

If there are no clicking sounds after you press the power button(3-5 clicks every 2-3 seconds), this will confirm optimal ballast performance and, it will also confirm a major issue that concerns the Power distribution board. There are several weak or damaged components on the board that have failed.

The replacement of the power board is recommended in this case.

My TV does not power up when the power button is pressed.

It's sounds like your lamp or backlight has went out, I suggest reading your manual for service info and look online for a local repair shop.

May be a power supply fault, Line stage, loose solder points or regulation( 5V to the CPU) to trigger switch on. If not familiar with electronics, please refer to a repair technician. Regards, JUS004
