    You have to really break it down into laymen's terms, what is the ssb, also how do I remove the front panel to get to the ribbon.

    The repair man that check the tv told me i need an SSB panel. What is that?

This set has problems with the ribbon that come from front panel back to ssb. Make sure it's on tight, pull off and reconnect. This will be the first thing to try. For more info ctechnicians.com

    There are almost a Thousand screws around the back of set. Once you start unscrewing the front protection shield will start falling off. Becareful of breaking. Once off you can take Fresnal screen off and then you can see in ribbon going to front panel, then you will have to take off bottom back and then follow the ribbon down and unplug and replug, remove any dried up glue and put on snug and then reglue.

We have a RCA D52w23 rear projection tv that powers off.
most likley the deflection board is at issue. Thats the number one board which fails in that chassis.

I have a D52W23 RCA 52''. I turn the power on the power button lights up and the TV makes a sound like shorting out. Theen it goes off. Is this the powr supply?
Deflection power board needs replacement. www.tvrepairworld.com should have replacement boards.

My RCA D52W23 won't turn on
The set is in shut down mode due to a fault detected in power supply/vertical or horizontal deflection circuits.
The common problems with this model that will cause the symptom you describe are bad power supply capacitors, bad flyback, bad HV cap in horizontal output circuit and cold solders especially under flyback area.
These are only the most common problems and it could be any number of other faults.
If you have electronic (TV) repair experience check the items mentioned, otherwise it's best to seek a qualified RCA tech for an estimate/service call.

My RCA d52w23 will not turn on. upon turning power on (either by front button or remote) the green light comes on 3 times and makes a mousey squeek. please help!!!!
there can be a few things that can cause this problem
take the back off and on the board on the left side look at the caps there ae 4 of interest three are radial pc mount and stand up the tops may look puffed up those will need to be replaced
locations i think are c140 c120 c114
the check solder ar the .082 200 box cap in the base circuit of the horizontal output transistor
that will most likely take care of your problem

most likely its the smsp /deflection board for the shut down
there are some caps in the power supply cp 140 cp120 cp114 look at them and see if there puffed up
they will need to be replaced
this could also be a flyback transformer that has failed or a ribbon connector
this where you will have to look for caps first the trouble shoot through it
then you you can addresse the cmp1 issue but id guess thats the ribbon connector causing that one

My RCA HDTV D52W23 Will not Turn On!!
Trying installing a new power supply. This is the main problem with tv's with the issue. But if you just bought it I would try to get my money back from where I bought it from. Installing a power supply for a tv is not that hard at all.

RCA D52W23 has shut off twice within the last week..
Try a power drain and monitor if the TV continues to do this or not:
1. Unplug the product's power cable so the device is not grounded to the house. 2. Press and HOLD the product's own power button for 1 minute to drain the capacitors. 3. Plug the product back into a wall outlet and try to turn it on.
Note: This procedure works with battery operated devices as well so remove the batteries and hold down it's power button.  Electricity can remain in capacitors and on circuit boards enough to prevent normal functionality. By clearing the residue electricity, your product will have a fresh start and many times this will resolve a buggy or non-responsive device that appears to be dead.
If this doesn't resolve the issue, it's possible the power supply is on it's last legs.
