Re: my NES power light dont work

If it's just your power light that doesn't work but the system still t powers on it should be fine. You just have a broken bulb.

Re: my NES power light dont work

Make a gap with the game you are going to play on the right side . i suggest you super mario brothers. its the easyest game to use for this prodgect.if you put a game in the nes and the red light starts to blink, that means that there isn't a game in there but there really is. if this prodgect dosent work. then try to dust it out really good. dont give up.

Does the original Nintendo NES-001 require a certain AC adapter. Cause I doesn't have the original ac adapter with same spec. My console power light is blinking on an doff. can that be the issuept

As long as it's 9 volt and about 500mA it should be ok. Just seen an original that says 9 volt and 400mA.

The current (mA) can be higher than the original but not the voltage that has to be 9.

1000mA = 1 Amp. So anything over 400mA is fine, but not less.

Today i digged out my NES and played kirby. Then i wanted to switch onto super mario, but then it didnt work. I blew air into the game gap and into the NES. But after reseting once more, the NES started...

Well I think that the lockout chip might be causing the issue and there are web sites that show and tell you on how to do lockout chip removal for NES.

Nes power light oes on and off

The nes does this to stop people from playing pirated games, but it can also be because the game cartridge or console is dirty. Try cleaning inside the game cartridge with a cotton bud dipped in a cleaning product of some kind. it mostly works for me!

Thought I fixed it

Try wiggling the cartrage arround and then hit the reset button. Or if you see the title screen flashing hit the reset button

Won't power on

Well those 3 way adapters are bad news then use an offical NES ac adapter for ensured quality.

My NES would turn off and on

Sounds like either of 2 things...

1.Your AC adapter is broken so replace it. take note of the voltage and current rating on the unit because you dont want to fry your NES

2.The socket where the ac adapter fits my be dirty or corroded give it a clean with a q-tip and some alchohol.

Nes wont come on!ac adapter is warm though

As far as I know a NES can go on for a very long time if looked after properly. I still have mine with duck hunt and it works fine lol. The only way to check if it is working is to test the external power supply for the correct voltage output with a multimeter. It should be written on it somewhere what the output voltage is. Allow for +/- 2volts as this could be just meter error. If the voltage is too low suspect the external power supply as faulty. If too high it could have fried a component on the internal power supply. Hope this helps. Post on your progress.
