Generic problem for all Digital Cameras

Shows photos taken but will not take new...

my camara is blank when i turn it on, the shutter comes out but the screen is black. when i press the green button the shutter closes and shows the photos i have taken.when i press the red button or power button nothing happens, it will not even turn off. when i press the green button it goes back to the old photos and then i can turn it off.
